This is a quite important part of your custom notifications. Understanding it correctly will avoid troubles and will help you to achieve the level of automation you're looking for.
The “Maximum delivery date” is the last acceptable time to send the notification. If current time is after the “Maximum delivery date”, then notification is not sent.
For example: Welcome notification
Send from: 0 days - Send trigger: after create (FOR NEW BOOKINGS)
Maximum delivery date: 1 day - Send until trigger: before arrival (FOR EXISTING BOOKINGS, they will receive this notification today if I activate it today)
It means that if the booking is new it will be sent soon after it has been created. The other condition is for existing bookings, so if you had bookings and you set up this notification all bookings that are more than 1 day from now will get the notification but also, if the booking is created with arrival date today they won't get the notification.
IMPORTANT: Please bear in mind that the Send from time needs to be a possible moment to send the notification and CANNOT BE equal to the Maximum delivery date. There are delays between the actual sending and the create times, so the window for sending them must be long enough.
